My’lkd was created and is run by Mark Apsey, a chef with a wealth of experience having been head chef at a handful of high end establishments across the UK.
Based in Reading, Berkshire, my’lkd ltd is a 5* food hygiene rated group of private chefs and small event caterer.
They run a highly successful development kitchen, having created products for brands such as Amazon’s Prime Video, The Ordinary, Blizzard (computer games), Disney and many others.


Having worked his way up the ranks in a handful of Michelin starred restaurants working for chefs such as Nathan Outlaw, John Campbell and Mark Jordan, Mark was promoted to be Alan Murchison’s Head Chef at L’ortolan; Readings only Michelin Starred Restaurant at the time, and ranked in the top 50 UK Restaurants.
Following a spell here Mark returned to Cornwall as the head chef of The Idle Rocks in St Mawes. During this time the Sunday Times listed the hotel as the ‘4th Best Restaurant By The Sea’ and ‘The UK’s Best Sunday Lunch’, whilst also being shortlisted in the ‘Best Dining Hotel in the South West’ category in the Trenchermans Guide.
More recently working in London as Head Chef for the experiential events designers Bompas and Parr, Mark worked on events such as G.H. Mumms’ House of Mumm in Madrid, Organs of London, and a full relaunch of Häagen Dazs’ range of ice creams. During this time, Mark created Lumen Ramen for Dashboard US, a glow in the dark Ramen and cocktail menu for a travelling pop-up bar.
Mark also created edible flavoured bubble mixture and a non-melting ice lolly. As well as running private events and creating new ideas, Mark loves running cookery classes for a one on one basis or and his team supply private chef services, offering in house catering for private groups and families, on both short term and longer term agreements.
